John Denver was a superstar artist who was a hit with his pop-folk songs, many of which were located in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was raised in Roswell new Mexico, but was enthralled by Colorado. He eventually moved to Aspen. Denver's national anthems to his adopted state has drawn a lot of people to Colorado. There isn't anyone else who represents Colorado as well as John Denver said G. Brown director of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. In 2011 Denver was chosen as the Hall of Fame's first inductee. He has become the personification of Colorado for people all over. Through my travels I've encountered people from New Zealand or the other side. If you inform that you're from Colorado the first words they'll use are"Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads is the only Denver Top 10 Hit as a solo artist after having worked in small Folk Music Groups. The track was written in collaboration with Bill Danoff. Danoff composed the track inspired by Johnny Cash, but Denver could hear an early version and knew it was going to be one of the Top 10 hits. The song was recorded within a couple of days of having performed at Washington D.C. before an crowd that was extremely enthusiastic.
