Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan was born in Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. The father of her Brian was a veterinarian for horses who committed suicide at the age of three. Bea was three years old, though she wasn't told about what happened to him until she reached the age of 13. Her stage name Bea is a tribute to her father. Bea was the author of an opinion piece for The Guardian, published in 2017 on her journey with suicide. Bea's mother Helen was also a trainer for jockeys as well as a former professional jockey was responsible for the care of her daughter as well as Sinead.
